Effect of stilboesterol on the normal bacterial flora of the external os uteri in goats

1)A total of 27 cervical swabs were obtained from the external os uteri of 3 ovariectomized goats for th0purpose of studying their bacterial florao2)Btilboestrol dipropionate was injected in differentdoses (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 gm) within two weeks interv-als between each dose for the purpose of studying the antibacterial effect of stilboestrol on the microflora of the natural os uteri in ovariectomizedgoats.3)Results of the viable plate count of the microflora of the os-uteri2f the ovariectomized goats revealedan average of 101673 bacteria/ml in goat No. 2,20500 bacteria/ml in goat No. 3 and 15872 bacterial ml in goat No. 4. However, 70 isolates of micro -organisms were isolated from the 27 os uteri smaples where 33 isolates, 17 and 20 strains were recovered from each goat respectively.
