Arterial Supply of the Pelvic Region in Egyption Buffaloes

Abstract:
The study of the arterial distribution in the pelvic cavity was conducted on 20 buffaloes (10 males and 10 females) varyin8 in age, 6 newly born( 2-6 months) and 14 foetuses( CVR 44-92 cm). Six specimens of isolated organs of both male and femalegenitulia were used for the discription of the artinjected with formalin, phenol, glycerine solutionof 10, 2, 1% respectively • Then injected with col- oured latex, the injection of the arteries were car-ried via Aorta abdominalis. The isolated organs were injected vie the corresponding artery of eachspecimen. Arteriographs were prepared for the ovary, uterus and penis by the new technique latex bariumsulfate injection technique( MOBARAK, 1981) which had the advantages of using the specimen in both purposes, gross anatomical and radiological studies.The origin and course of various arteries were described and compared with the related results obt-ained by previous authors.
