Screening and confirmatory methods for detection of abnormal milk

Abstract:
In this study, 683 milk sample collected from apparently healthy quarters were examined bacteriologically as well as chemically to detect any abnormalitity.Bacteriological examination of the milk samples revealed the presence of mastitis causative microor-ganisms in 62% of examined samples.The most predominant microorganisms in a desending manner were str. agalactiae, str, dysgalactia, E. coliand Staph. aureus in a ratio of 17%, 12%, 11%, and 10%,respectively. Also there were mixed infection in some .milk samples with two microorganisms (as Staph. aureus anQ str. dysgalactiae or str. agalactiae or E. coli or Klebsiella ozona, str. dysgalactia with E. coli in a percent varied from 0.29 to 161%).other microorganisms encluding serratia marcescens, Enterobacter agglomatus; Klebsiella ozaena and pseu-domonas aeruginosa proved to exist in examined samples.Milk samples collected from the apperantly normal quarters and subjected to some chemical tests showed
