Abstract:
’I’en Egy-ptian Balad i goats 3 to. 4 ye ars old 25 to 35Kg. body weight were used to study the anatomicaland microscopical structure of the ir placentae as well as the’physical properties and biochemical constitue-nts of the fetal fluids. All goats were synchronized for estrus induction and left in a yard with two fer-tille bucks; later pregnancy diagnosis was carred out using laparosco.pic technique. The pregnant goats weredivided into three gnoups representing early, mid and late-gestation. At the end of each period the animalswere ovariohysterectomized. to collect the uterus and its contents from each goat. The removed whole graviduteri were we:i,.ghed· and the ovarian structres were recorded. A longitudinal uterine incision was donevery carefully taking care leaving the underlying fetalmembranes Ln t act , The allantoic fluid was collectedfirst, then the amniotic fluid. Physical properties ofthe fetal fluid were examined and samples were collectedfor biochemical analysis. Fetal membranes were weighedempty. Feti were taken, their weights, CRL, umbilical
