Abstract:
1..Sixty water samples from Mabmodia Canal and its tributaries running through Behera and Alexandria. Gorernorates were examined bacteriologically in order to evaluate its sanitry quality.2. It ha been found that overall mean of bacterial denity at 37°C wa 871038 ± 100163 bacteria per ml of water03. The mean value of the most probable numbers of co:Li±’orm bacilli per 100 ml of water samples was 21719 ± 3130 bacteria.4. The mean value of faec.treptococci count in Mabmodia Canal and its tributaries was found to be 5027 ± 696 bacteria per 100 ml of water.5.
