Abstract:
In the present investigation, faecal, blood and serum samples, were collected from a total number of 75 fasciola infested buffaloes as well as 60 clini-cally healthy buffaloes used as control, and a total number of 100 cows suffering from certain pathologicalconditions as well as 40 clinically healthy cows as control.b)Haematological and biochemical studies on these animals revealed the followingI: Fascioliated buffaloes:a)Blood picture:There were no significant changes in the valuesof erythrocytic count, packed cell volume (PCV) andhaemoglobin concentration in slightly and moderatelyWhile these values were signif-cantly decreased in severely infested animals.The total leucocytic count was significantlyin severely affected animals only.c) Some serum mine~als:There were no significant changes in the levelsof serum calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium andinfested buffaloes at all levels oflT1Ve£t~1i.on compared with control ories.On theother hand the levels of serum inorganic phosphorus
