studies on the healing of hysterotomy wounds after caesarean section in egyptian goats

Caesarean section was performed on 35 Egyptian goats ranging in age from 20 - 30 months. Different types of eeneral anaesthesia as well as local anaesthetic together with tranquilizerswere used.Caesareatomy was performed at 5 different seats: .- Left flank.- Right flank.Paramedian incision lateral to the milk vein.Paramedian incision medial to the milk vein.Midline incision ( linea alba).Different types of suture material Viere tried viz:- Plain catgutChromic catgut - Mersilene- Prolene - Ethilon - Silk - Nylon.Histopathological samples were taken from the healeduterine incision after three weeks to evaluate thehealing process.The results according to the seat of caesarean werefollows:
