Abstract:
This present study was performed fora. thQrough. investigation 01’ some pharmacodynamic properties oftne general steroid anaestnetic , al thesin on isolated?reparations and intact animals. Its clinical appli- cation in dogs Ilretreated with antihistaminic agent”as a trial for safe effecient utilization of al thesinfor inducing general anae s tne s La in dogs. Effects on the isolated srnoatn muscles:A dose-dependent inhibitory effect of directmyogenic nature was produced by al thesin on the rabbit’sduodenum. It has no atropine-like , a.Lpna or Beta-adrenergic agonist acti vi ty. Althesin produced a direct myogenic decrease inboth force and rr-equency 01’ contraction OI the uterineuscl es in the different stages of the sex cycle andpregnancy.
