Abstract:
The present investigation was done in the departmentof Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary MediCine, ZagazigUniversity. The study included 200 adult female one humped camel. The samples wh-ich . were oollected from Cairoslaughterhouse, included the plasma, the ovary, the uterus and the placenta, for estimation hormonal levels andmorphometric Studies of the ovary.I Morphometric Studies Of The Ovarl1 - The non pregnant females : were classified into:(a) Females of active ovary containing G’raafian follicle which was divided into 3 phases, where its diameter0.3 cm at first phase, increased up to 1 cm then•;.1.98 cm at mature phase. But the ovarian weight averaged2.83 e, 3.75:,~ and 11.6 s respectively with devel-opment of the Graafian follicle.(b) Females of smooth inactive ovary, its weight was 1.87g.(c) Females of cystic ovary, the diameter of the cyst was5.5 cm and the ovarian weight reached 64.67 g. (d) Females having ovary, that contained corpus albican of1.07 cm diameter, but the ovarian weight 4.05 g.
