Abstract:
115 Dokld 4”chickens were dividied into 3 groubs were given 0.2 0 4 and 0.6% urea in the drinking water, and the other 3. groups. were given O~’2,O~’4 and O~6% ur-ea in the dri11.1dngwater, and. the other .3 groups ware given ru;.un01UUT.!l nit-rateat the concentrations of O~1.O~2 and in the drinking woter also.~he 7~~.group was used as a control.The experiment wns continued for 12 weeks.The birds in both groups of urea and ammonium nitrate showed anorexia. diarrhoea, emaciation, ineo-ordu1atedgait, :ru:t”fling of feathers, DROPping of wings, laboured breath and cyanosis of combs and vrettles.appeare atter vary1ng periods.These aympt 0mr- ThQ b~a1n, spihnl,eord. heart, lung, spleen, liverand kidneys ahowed congestion and haemorrhages. The brain and spinal cord shonsd oedema and malacia.
