Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the site of action of histanine by the use of the specifichistnoine receptor antagonists, mepyrnoine and cimetidne. Histanine HI - and E2 - receptors ~ve been biologically identified und characterized in a nunber of tissuepreparations • The obtained results are sumnarized below:Effects on the snooth nusoles:.Experinents perforned on tl stomnch fundus und intestinnl snooth nuscles revealed u dose - relatedstinulntor,y effect of histaoina~ Histanine was found to produce its stinuly effect on guinea pig ileunnnd rat fun~c strip through stirrulation of Hl- receptors~ this effect was blocked by nepyrauineIn the presence of nepyr-onf.ne , histanine producedrelnxation of this tissue through its depressent action by H 2 - receptors stimulation.
