Intr- Articular Injections Into The Limbs of The Camel

A tacl1nique~ for the intra articular inject-ions of the joints of the limbs of the camel was described. The proper site for safe injection into each joint was determined and its relatedanatomical structures were mentioned and diagra- Qatically illustrated to avoid any injury on inj- ection. The compow~d joints were subjectedt tofurther studies to clear out the extensions of their synovial capsules. The type of intra art- icular injection needles were described for eachinjection. The direction for their insertion into the joint cavities were determined. Means for tro.nquilizing und controlling camels on injectionand radiography were mentioned- The joints were subjected to radiological stUdies. The required potentials as well as the suitable radiographicpositioning were reached and deterQined. In addi- tion, Urografin 76% was intra articularly injectedand the injected joints were subjected to radiog- raphy to clear out the extensions of their synovialcapsules and to detect any inter articular comnuri- ications especially in compound joints.
