Zinc de1’iciency :In this strudy 55 lambs and 48 ewes were included • ~heseanimals were showing clinicaL macdz’e anauaou OI zinc derLc.i.ency •The biochemical anaLysis OJ:’ the diet used for feeding of.»>lactating ewes showed a lower zinc content( 15 and 25 ppmof Zn, for the first and second rations , respectively) •The calcium and fat contents of the first and. second rationswere also 1.205 and 0.920 mg ~ 1’or calcium and 3.0 and 5.0Treatment 01’ lactating ewes with zinc sulphate therapy(12.94 mg / head ’/ day, for three weeks) and correction ofdiet ( the second. ration was only used for feeding ) gaveapositive influence on the body weight of SUCkling unv-hri1’-as the a.aily gain or la.nibs hau been increased
