Hormonal control of growth and involutionof the corpus luteum of the rabbit

1- A study was made to reveal the ho:enonal changes,namely TSi-I, FSH, LH and LTH during the formation,maintenance and involution of the corpora lutea of rabbits. Moreover, the role played by thyrotrophic hormoneand thyroid Ln influencing the structure of their corpora lutea ”’vvas studied.2- In order to induce ovulation in rabbits and thence formation of corpora lutea , 8. prelimenary ex:peri- ment was done using 40 Lmma cur-e f’ema.l,e rabbits to establish the proper system of treatment of rabbits ’with gonadatrophins. After t;”i,-vo days they Virere in- jected intravenously with 50 i.u. HCG (Roussel).
