Haematological Study of The Balady, Boscat and Giant Flander Rabbits

This work endeavors to study the influence of age,breed, sea son, nutrition and ca stration on the ha ema- tological picture of r-abb i.t s , Special attention is paid to difference between the diameter of red cells in fresh stained blood film, and the vaGiant-Flander, :so scat and Balady rabbits. Such investigation revealed the following findings:The erythrocytic number in healthy adult rabbits ranges from 4.410 to 6.080 million/ul5.45 ± 0.76 microns. Rabbits blood exhibit 8090 - 12.80g % haemoglobin. The packed cell volume ranges from 26.60 to 43.70 volume % whereas the Reticulocyte countreaches 1.60 - 3.29 %. Mean Corpuscular Volume (MaV) ranges from 58.62 t o. 74.64 cu u, Mean corpuscular Haemo-globin (MCH) reaches 18.03 - 22.68 u ug, while the Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration (MCRC) rangesbetween 27.51 and 34.05 %0The total the differential
