A Clinco-pathological studies on pneumo- enteritis syndrome with special reference to differential diagnosis of bovine viral diarrhea, mucosal disease, infectious bovine rhinotrachitis and parainfluenza-3 viruses in Egypt

three viral diseases ( Bovine viral diarrhea - Mucosal disease complex. ( BVD - MD ), Infectious bovine rhino-trae~eitis ( IBR ) and Pa~ainfluenza - 3 ( PI - 3 ) were studied using randomlY collected sera samples from Egyptian cattle. The serological survey indicated that 33.4 % of 500 sera samples contained neutralizing antibodies a.gainst BVD virus, by using BVThe proportion of positive sera samples varied in differnet Provinces. Only one Province ( El Wadi Gadid ) was freeof infe,etion. The mean ti t re of neutralizing antibodies varied from 1 : 4 to 1 : 256.
