Some studies on pyelonephritis in buffaloes

Abstract:
The present study aimed to determine the normal micro- flora of urinary system in fattening healthy buffaloe steers as well as the custive agents of pyelonephritis in such animals. Besides the study comprised possible changes that could occur in urine chafive affected animals and thirty five clinically healthyones ( age ranged from 1.5 - 2 years old ) were chosen for the work.Based on bacteriological examination of urine specim-ens, the following data were acheived :-~- About 77% of examined urine samples (Qllected, fromhealthy animals, were bactenia freea E. ~ consisted8.6%, citrogacter 5.7% while Par3colon hafinia, Alcaligenesfae~alis and Staph. aureus were present in 2.9% of cases.
