Abstract:
A study on semen of bucks for certain physical and chemical constituents was undertaken. Four bucks were used for obtaining semen of first and second ~jaculates,~ The results were concluded as follows: (1) The colour and consistency of bucks studied variefrom creamy white thick in the first ejaculate to yellow thin in the second one, (2) The volume lies be~een 0~3 and 1.1 ml. with amean of 0.7 ± 0,.08 ml. in the first ejaculate, correspondingto 0.3 to 1~2 ml. with a mean of 0~7 + 0.07 m1~ in thesecond ejaculate (3) The pH ranged from 5,~7 to 6,~7 with the mean value of 6~1 + 0~09 in the first ejaculate. While in the r , second one it lies between 6 0 and 6,~4, wit!!. a mean value of 6.5 ~(4) The inorganic phosphorus content in semen of bucklies between ·4,~6 mg .• % to 8,.9 mg,~% with a mean value 6~5 + O~4 mg~% in the first ejacula te, whereas inthe second one it ranged from 2,~6 mg.~% to 8.~1 mg,~% with a mean of 5.6 + O~6 mg~%~
