Abstract:
The skin of 20 normal healthy mature male and female buffaloes were obtained from Assiut and El-MOtea slaughterhouses immediately after skining. The skin specimens were taken from 9 body regions, fixed-on Bouin’s, Helly’s andformolcalcium fluids. Serial horizontal and vertioal para- ffin sections of 8 - 10 and 20 Um thickness were rnadeQAlso, a number of thiok hand frozen sections about 200 Um were obtained.Paraffin and frozen sections Were stained with co.ffer- ent histological and histochemioal methods.The followiag results were obtained.w The average numbe~ of the apocrine sweat glands pe~Msq cm of the skin was, about 250 in number~ sex ~nd regionalvariations in the density of the sweat-gland were observed.•The apocrine sweat glands are located ~ore deeper in front and mammary gland skin region than those of theinguen, in the other studied body regionS. they oocupied an interrnidi~te looation.- The apocrine sweat gland is formed of sacoular glandul portion ~d elongated oylindrioal duot, the glandsare
