Abstract:
309This study was performed to investigate the persistence of FMDV. in experimentally infected cattle. Two steers were used for the experimental infection withtype 01/2/72 Egypt which was typed and subtyped in the F~ID virus Department, veterinary Serum and Vaccine Institute, Abbasia, Cairo, A.R.E. and was confirmed by the Animal Virus Research Institute at Pirbright. Materials obtained from the two steers whicIn infected steer no 11 the highest titre was 10-5 L.D50/ml. while the lowest was 10-3•5 in the 5th day post infection.In the infected steer no.
