309This study was performed to investigate the persistence of FMDV. in experimentally infected cattle. Two steers were used for the experimental infection withtype 01/2/72 Egypt which was typed and subtyped in the F~ID virus Department, veterinary Serum and Vaccine Institute, Abbasia, Cairo, A.R.E. and was confirmed by the Animal Virus Research Institute at Pirbright.
