Clinco-pathological studies of cerebro- spinal fluid in dogs after administration of some alkaloids

The effect of caffeine citrate, nicotine sulphate and atropine sulphate was studied:on some of the consituents of the cerebrospinal fluid of dogs. Two hundred male healthydogs of nearly the same age ( 1.5 - 2.0 years) and body weight (12 - 15 kg) were used,in this study. The aqueous solutions of caffeine citrate ( 5.0 % ) , nicotine sulphate ( 0.5 % ) and atropine sulphate ( 0.05 %. )in bidistilled water were injected in a single and repeated doses in dogs.Forth dogs were used to study the effect of a single .
