The the virus in the host organs and tissue were assayed during the cOUrse of infection. The methods employed for virus detection and essay during the pathogenesis of infectionwere compared with each others. The associated tests included: Assay of infective virus in tissue by inoculation of embryonated avian egg. Demonstration of virus particles in tissue by haemagglu-tination, haemolysis tests. Demonstration of virus antigen in the tissue by agar gel precipitation test, passi~ haemagglutination adsorptiontest •.
