Abstract:
A toto.l of 124 quart’er milk samples collected from 100 mastitic dairy nhimals(70 Egyptinn buffaloes and )0Frizinn cows) were bacteriologically examined for the incidence of different mastitis cnusntive organisms •The most pre~nlent mastitis causative organisms isolated from ~o.stit~c cases were stphy1oc6ccus nureus and streptococbns ngo.lnctine which Were responsible :fer 45.9% and 27.4% of ansee respectively. Vfuile E.Coli.strept. dysgo.lo.ctine, strept pyogenes nnd ps. neruginosa were responsible for 12.9%, 6.5%. 3.2% and 4.1% of cnsesrespectively. $ertsitivity stUdies to 14 antibiotics -and two sulphondmides in discs were conducted on isolated mastitis orgnnisms(57 stra.ins of stnph. nureus, 34 strains of strept~ngnlnctiae, 16 strains of E. coli and 5 st~o.ins of Ps. neruginoso.)
