Hematological and histo-pathological changes in turkeys naturally affected with mycoplasmaa meleagridis

Abstract:
MlcoElaseleagridi infection was studied n l21 turkey poul ts ranging in age from ono day to seven weoks , The birds wer-e ob-oain.ed from various turkey flocks in the country.. The poults were derided into four groups according to the~r ages. The 1st groubirds each) were 2-3 Hooks 4-·5 and 6-7 weeks , respectively.According to M.isolation, the testedbirds were classified into apparently normal and infected groups.Tho examined birds were subjected to mycoplasma.oulturing, pathological and detailed haematological exami-nations.Studies revealed that the air-saa3v7ere the onlyorgan exhibiting prominent change s , ~[2.~rosco:tJ2.cally, thelesions ranged in severity from slight cloudeness to markedt::.·.ickening of the air sac membrane. There wer-e yellowcaseous exudate on the walls 8.J.~d flakes of C~8e0US materialfree in the air sac lumen.
