Hematological changes in swiss mice and albino rats infested with schistosoma mansoni and effect of treatment on investigated changes

The various known facto:cs which c an affect the biological experiments were taken into consideration during the experiments. Sources of errors due to sampling or technique were also avoided. Animals used (Swiss miceand albino rats) were reared taking into consideration all requirements of breeding and livin6 of the laboratory ani- mals. Svriss mice were infected by 150 .§.mansoni cercariae, while the a.Lb Lno rats were infected by 300 cercariae • .oothwere infected by the percutu.neous route. The cercariae were pooled from the largest possible number of infectedsnails in order to balance the sexes.
