Abstract:
In the present work the aspermatogel1ic and pharmaco10- gical activities of seminal vesicle fluid of bull wereinvestigated.Aspermatogenic activity::The seminal vesicle fluid of native bread bulls was sterilized, and injected into sexually mature male albino rats, by two ~outes of injection:1- By single intratestesticular injectio:-Four doses of seminal vesicle fluid of bull (0.025,0.05, 0.1, and 0.2 m1) were used to demonstrate aspermato- genic activity of the bovine seminal vesicle fluid on rat testis. The dose of the seminal vesicle fluid of bull wasinjected into the left testis~ while the right testisCcontro1) was injected with injection caused a significant decrease in index weight of the testes injected wi th seminal vesicl e fluid of bull as compared with the control test~s injected with saline.Histopathological examination revealed no lesions in the right testes (injected with saline) while the left testes (injected with seminal vesicle fluid of bull) showed necrob- iotic changes, caseation necrosis, and fragmentation of the spermatogenic epith
