Abstract:
The present study is part of 0 general plan to cluoidate the potentials of buffalo bulls in semen production,to oorrelete some of the primary abnormalities to its origL~al source and to investigate the morphologioalchanges which oocur to the spermatozoa during their passage, storage and maturation in the ~pid:i.dymis.Testes were collected from buffalo bulls reared by the Egyptian Company for Moat under the genercl system ofmanagement in Egypt. Ten testes from ten onimcls at the age of two years ± three months and ten animals at theage of three years ±. three months were examined. All acmp Le a were collected within a six week period. A piece of each testicle (10 mm length and 5-10 mmtelckness) was taken from the parenchyma at the middle of the unterior border und was fixed in neutral formaline 10 % Traditional embeddir~ and paraffin sectioning at 5 u were done. These sections were stained vdth Hnrris hemotoxylinand eosin. Spermatogenesis was evaluated in terms of percent of tubules found in stage (8) of the seminiferous epithelial cycle. Tubular diameters of nearly rounded 10seminiferous tubules in stage (8) and 20 seminiferous
