Effect of stress caused by newcas tle vaccination on the blood of hubbard

Abstract:
The hub bard chickens reared in Egypt by the General Poultry Company for the first time was the scope of this investigation. Studies were performed on the effect of vaccination schedules against Newcastle normallyused in our poultry farms(Bl N.D. strnin during the firstweek and Laaota strain in the 4th week) en blood haemato-l06ical picture and chemical constituents of blood invaccinated and non-vaccinated chickens.The results are summarized as follows:1. Total erythrocytic count was increased at the second week after vaccination,with Bl strain of N.D.V., and in the 1st and 3rd weeks, the vaccination had no effecton the count. On revaccination with Lasota strain and after 9 daysof vaccination which was on the 4th week from the beginningof the experiment, the count was increased again. from the 5th to the 8th week of the experiment, nochanges could be observed in the number of R.B.Cs count in the blood of vaccinated and non-vaccinated birds.
