Abstract:
During the last years the herbicides (Weed-Killers)were used commercially on a large scale. Their applica-ti~n had been increased by intr~ducti~n of many new com-pounds. These newly produced organic herbicides causedrevoluti~n in agriculture all over the world. These or-ganic herbicides introduced, offered a specific eradica-ting agent against any weed in almost any crop.from these organic herbicides is the substituted ureagroup, one of the members of this gr-oup is the compound”Cotoran”.The present investigati~n deals with the study ~fdifferent aspect of action of this compound on white rats,as a means of investigating its action Oft animals thatmay be exposed to it.The following rarts were studied:Part I : Dealt with the effect of different toxic doses ofcotoran on the bll)od picture and some biochemical Cl’)nstit-uents in blood of white rats.In this part LDO (2,85), LDJ..I] is.vi», LDS0 (4.11) andLD95 (5.71) gm/Kg. B.wt as have been determined before(Ahmed, 1977), were given orally by stomach tube tl) fivegroups, each containing fourty rats, blood as well as serum
