Abstract:
This work was concerned to study the morphological,histological, histochemical and histopathological chan-ges of the cervix of buffaloes in EgyptI - Morphological FindingsThe investigation of 343 cervix revealed thefollowing results :The average length of cervix at proestrus was 7.48cm and ranged from 5to 9.2 cm _The average length of cervix at oestrus was 7 .83cmand ranged from 5 to 13 cm •The average length of cervix at metoestrus was8 to 12 cm and ranged from 6 to 10 cmThe overage length of cervix at dioestrus was 6 to)0 cm and ranged from 2.2 to 9 cm •J’h e average diameter of cervix at proestrus was3.97 cm and ranged from 2.0 to 6.0 cm.The average diameter of cervix at oestrus was4.34 cm and ranged from 2.5 to 8.7 cm .The overage diameter of cervix at metoestrus was4.8 cm and ranged from 2.3 to 8.0 cm •The average diameter of cervix at dioestrus was3.93 cm and ranged from 2.0 to 5.6 cm .The lumen of cervical canal having 20 to 27 long-itudinal folds and 3 to 5 annular folds.
