Abstract:
Eighty-one salmonella strains, represented in two serotype indlucing (47) salmonella typhi-murium and (34), salmonella gallinarum-pullorum were isolated from Bahtim intensive duck farm from 600 dead ducklings,200 duck,100 duck eggs and 50 rationsamples.S. typhi-murium strains were isolated from ducklings,duck,duck eggs and ration in the following decreasing manner 28,7,8 and 4, respectively.S. gallinarum-pullorum strains were isolated from ducklings.duck,duck eggs and ration in the following decreasing manner 20,6,4, respectively.2- thrity four S. gallinarum-pullorum strains was phage typed to phage type 1,6 and 7, in the following decreasing manner 11,22 and 1 strains. S. gallinarum-pullorum phage type 6 was the most prevalent phage type isolated from collected samples.forty- seven S. typhi-muriumstrains was typedto phage type 8,151 and untypable strain. S. typhi-murium phage type 8 was isolated from ducklings and ration .
