Abstract:
Electrophoretic studies were carried on serum pro-wins in native :fowls under some JlhysioJ.og;i..cal aspectsincludjng age, laying, sex and breed. Vaccinated birds against Newcastle disease virus and infected fowls withmycoplasma were also studied, using a horizontal paper electrophoresis treohrrl.que , The studied birds were proved to be apparently and clinically healthy, had the same con- dition of breeding, feeding and environmental factors.1) Serum proteins were studied in three different ages in Dokki and Sina. There was with advancing age ~significant increase t in three and six months old Do kk;i.and Sina as compared to one day old Dokki and Sina respec- tively, in total, serum protein, albumin and gamma-l g.Lobu.l i.n , Beta globulins showed a significant decrease, as comparedto one day old in immature three months old Dokki and Slnachickens. A significant increase in albumin-globulin ratio in three months old Dokki and Sina as compared to one dayold Dokki and Sina~ Prealbumin was found occasionally in the studied ages in the uvo native breed.
