Abstract:
.A study has been made on the effect of a local iso~te of ”duck hepatitis vii-us e.d.minstered intra-abde-millelly to 9 day -old. White J?ekin ducklings in doses of 104 ELD.50/bird, 011 some biochemical cons ti tuents and8ljzyme a~tivities in the saturn. Special consideration Vit/as given to s. me parameters reflecting the. live s func- •tion. The results .achieved.showed:1) :lV1arkod changes in liver function teflectir:1g thedr-ange me nt of ,:;’ver cells’ and cellular degenerativechanoes as demonstrated by Lnc rea se d aer-ura level s df enzyme activities including glutamic oxaloacetic~ )transaminase, glutamic pyrine transaminase, alkalinephosphatase, and lactic dehydrog(;nase.a) Glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase raised more earlierthan glutamic pyruvic transaminase, but decline more earliers.b) .a Lka Li.ne phosphatase and glutamic pyruvic transaminaseshowed similar results. They were more active from the first day from infection and continued .
