Abstract:
Rabbits of various breeds and ages in Egypt havebeen investigated for the psoroptic and sarcoptic miteinfections. The incidence of infection of both types ofacarines and its possible seasonal flactuating picturehave been also determined with acuracy. Simultaneously, thedistribution of parasitic lesions as well as the predilictionconcentrative sites of both types of parasites duringtheir various developmental phases have been criticallytabulated and illustrated by the needed curves and histo- grams. The repeated anual examinations of 2400 rabbitsrevealed a total of 310 mange infected cases with apercentage of 12.91%~ Among the positive cases only 5.75%appeared with Sarcoptic mange while psoroptic cases ex- ceeded to 7.16% however the examinations of the infected sarcoptic cases denoGed the occurence of its predilection, site lesions arround the pads and claws of fore limbs in31 cases, ,Pad.P and claws. of hind limbs t arround the .eyes,
