Abstract:
1-Coccidiosis in turkeys was studied in Egypt.2- Microscopic examination of one thousand faocal samples taken from various turkey farms revealed an incidence of coccidial cocysts ranging from 2-20% of the samples examind and the number of coccidial cocyst3- The incidence of coccidiosis among dead turkey poultsranged, from 8-20%.4- The clinical and post-mortem picture together with the histopathology in cases of natural and experimental coccidiosis were stidied.5- presumptive identification of the isolated eimerial cocysts indicated that the species encounted during the course of7- Amprol (20% amprolium) at a rate of 0,05% was used successfully for the treatment of poults naturally infected with coccidiosis.
