Efficiency Of Some Drugs On Internal Parasites In Camels

Abstract:
In the present work, 40 male one-humped camels (camelus dromedarius) of about 6-10 years and; ~00-400 kG b.wt. were used. Examination of faeces of these camels (ese: count and larval differentiation) r-evea Le d theirheavy infestation with gastrointestinal nematodes. They were divided into 4 groups of 10 camels each ODe of them served as infested non-treated oontrol, where- as the others were used for evaluating the efficacy of pyz-arrte L tartarate, tetramisole hydrothe effect of therapeutic application of the tested anthe:- mintic drugs on blood criteria and enzyme activities;levels of bilirubin, proteins, urea, creatinine, chole stel’o:,and electrolytes in serum. The values were determined be-fore and 10, 20, .30 and 40 days after their administratiOJ.l ana were compared with that of the control group,The obtained results revealed that oral administra-t Lon of pyrantel tal”trate at a oingle dose of 25 mg/kg l.
