Abstract:
Seven camels were used in this study (Three were Sudaneese and the rest wele Baladi breed) with the addition of one susceptible calf. Serum samples were collected from the camels and calf and were subjected to different serological test (IOF, AGP and S.N.FMD iniecticl as indicated by the absence ofspecific antLbodies to FMDV.Standardization of the minimal infective Qose of the FMDV to the camels was studied. from the results achieved, it was evident that104~ virus particles were found adequate, 50enough to induce clinical symptoms in inoculated camels.from too Lnc culated camels, the b’MDV was isolated from 1: lood and oesophageal - pharyngealscrapings bt t not from saliva.
