Abstract:
(1) Faecal swabs were taken from 339 apparently healthy zoo-birds from zoo garden in 1977-1978. The examined spsc ics Lno included 180 guins a fowls , 10 pea fowIs ,12 cariad a geese, 14 ~~Rwan ducks and Bekeny ducks, 80 chineese geese, one white swan andexamined species was 13%.(3) The frequency of virus recovery from these species weras follows 28 isolates out of 180 guins a fcwls (15.5%)7 isolates out of 10 pea fowls 70 % and one isolate out of 12 canada geese 8.3% (70%) and one is(;late’Jut of(4) Spcradic out breaks of ND occurred among flocks of guineafowls vaccinated every six months with komarov strain of NDV.
