Abstract:
A trial was made to study some surgical affectionsin 271 camels, aging 31/2 - 8 years.All of them weremales except two were females.Nostril affections were noticed in 14 males, dueto improper use of the nose piece of the head collar.Keratitis superficialis was diagnosed in 18 casesdue to mechanical injuries, while deep keratitis due totrypanosomiasis was revealed and treated in two cases~One ease of bilateral amaurosis has been reported andwas negative to trypanosomiasis.Two cases of nonparasitic suppurative otitisexterna with ulceration of the external ear canal andaccumulation of pus on ttJ tympanic membrane WE.::e soen.Concerning the oral cavity, abscess at the inneraspect of the cheeks was seen in three cases resultingin dysphagia.Two cases of dental fistulae, at the lower jawat the level of the 1st or second premolar) was treasad with success.
