the presence of amines , even in small amounts , during alkaline pulping of wood chips results in highly beneficial effects on pulp properties.it leads to better delignification 75-81, increased pulp yield 75,82,84,decreased decomposition of cellulose 83, accelerated pulping rate 83,84, and better strength properties 78,81.these studies were carried out on pulpwood with the aim of preparing paper paper pulps.
