Abstract:
Target tracking is an important cooperative sensing application of wireless sensor networks In these networks energy, computing power and communication bandwidth ace scarce In this paper, we consider a randomly deployed sensor network with sensors acting as a set of distributed datasets Each dataset is assumed to have its local temporal dataset, along with spatial data and the geographical co-ordinates of a given object An approach towards mines global temporal patterns from these datasets and to discovers nonliear trajectories of a moving object is proposed It is tested in a simulation environment and compared with straightforward method The results of the experiments clearly show the benefits of the new approach in terms of energy consumption
