Abstract:
Original Compact Cell ``CC{''} for the selective determination of ascorbic acid ``AsA{''} was introduced. The cell was based on the uses of different types of neutral ionophores like ethoxy diaza 18-crown-6 and phosphorylated calix-6-arene derivatives. The CC was able to analyze AsA down to 2.2 x 10(-5) M. The selectivity coefficient values were calculated for different inorganic cations. The values were suitable for measuring AsA in presence of different cations. Application for the determination of AsA was applied for fruits using the proposed CC-AsA. The recovery values ranged between 97.4 and 100.7\% for all samples. The relative standard deviation ``RSD{''} ranges were 1.92-0.97\% (for n = 6).
