Abstract:
It was carried out to demonstrate the role of inflammation in the development of insulin resistance induced by feeding rats with high fat diet for prolonged periods, through the determination of fasting serum glucose, insulin levels, insulin resistance, beta-cell function, OGT, percentage of neutrophils, serum CRP, TC, TG, HDLc, LDLc and FFA levels in addition to histopathological examination of their pancreas. The present work also investigated the prophylactic and curative effect of both aspirin and rosiglitazone and their combination on insulin resistance and different related parameters.II- Part II:It was carried out to explore perfused pancreas isolated from rats fed with normal and high fat diet.
