In this work, the analysis of certain skeletal muscle relaxant drugs (Orphenadrine citrate, baclofen, chlorzoxazone and tizanidine hydrochloride), antithistaminic drugs (acrivastine, fexofenadine hydrochloride and cetirizine dihydrochloride), in addition to anti-inflammatory drugs (etodolac, celecoxib) were studied either in pure form or in the pharmaceutical formulations ..The investigation includes usefulness of certain spectroscopic techniques including: spectrophotometry, atomic absorption spectrometry and titrimetry..The thesis consists of two parts:.Part (I):.This part demonstrates a theoretical basic background review on the previous methods of the assay of the cited drugs..Part (II):.This part includes five sections:.Section (1):.This section describes a simple spetrophotometric method formation, using para-chloronilic acid, dichlorodicyanobenzoquinine and tetracyanoquinodimethane reagents with orphenadrine citrate, baclofen, acrivastine and tizanidine hydrochloride in pure form or in pharmaceutical preparations. The results obtained were compared with those of the official and reference methods.
