Analytical Studies on the use of Condensation&Redox Reactions in the Determination of some Pharmaceutical Compounds

The objective of this work is to develop feasible and sensitive analytical methods for different pharmaceutical compounds such as antihypertensives e.g. acebutolol hydrochloride and lisinopril dihydrate, ketosteroids e.g. levonogestrel, norethisterone acetate, mometasone furoate and fluticasone propionate, amino acids e.g. arginine hydrochloride and proline in addition to other drugs including acyclovir, cefprozil monohydrate, dothiepin hydrochloride, gabapentin and tramadol hydrochloride.The investigated drugs, their names, structure, physical properties, therapeutic uses and their reported methods of analysis are presented and discussed.The investigation includes the use of certain spectrophotometric, spectrofluorimetric and titrimetric techniques.In this work, certain pharmaceutical compounds were analysed in pure form or in their pharmaceutical formulations using either condensa-tion or redox reactions.
