Synthesis of five Membered Heterocycles with two Heteroatoms for Pharmacological study

Five Membered Heterocycles-Two Heteroatoms. A survey covring the synthesis of imidazole and 2-amino-2-thiazoline derivatives given . the biolo- gical activities of imidazoles and 2-amino 2-2thiazolined have been reviewed . A brief outline on the biological activity of phrazolines, pyrimidine-2-one, pyrimidine-2- thione and thiazolidinones is included . some chalcone derivatives were prepared and were reacted with differ-rent nucleophiles .A new method is introduced for the preparation of 2-chloroacetyliminothiazolidine which was used for the preparation of a series of 2-substituted-acetylimino- thiazolidine cyclization of 2-chloroacetyliminothiazoli- dine was attempted .2-arylideneaminothiazolines were prepared and were used for the synthesis of a series of thiazolidinones and thiazolidino {3,2-a} pyrimidines.Some of the new compounds were subjected to preli- minary pharmacological screening and the results are summarized.
