The use of Basic-Dyes for the Analysis of some Acidic Pharmaceutical Compounds

A sensitiye extraction-spectrophotometric method is put forward for the determination of some acidic anti-inflarmatory, analgesie and antipyretic drugs, namely, flufenamic acid, mefeamic acid, diclofenac sodium, ibuprofen, ketoprofen. In dpprofen, naproxen, indomethacin, azapropazone, and niflumic acid.The thesis falls in the following parts which are:PART I:INTRODUCTION• Reviw on the pharmacological action, structure and methods of analysis of drugs.• Review on the methods of analysis including basic dyes.PART II :EXPERIMENTAL AND DISUSTONThe method of analysis is based on the ion-pair complex formed by the bove acidic drugs with the basic dyes, basic fuchsin, methyl lene blue, safranin T. and rhodamine at eertain pll the complex formed extr- acted with suitable or ganic solvent and measured spectre- photometrically.
