Synthesis of Certain thiopoene Compounds of Pharmaceutical Interest

A new method is introduced for the preparation of 5_(2_thienyl)-3-pyrazoecarboxhydrazide –in an excellent yield- which was used for the preparation of series of arylidence carboxydrazides and a pyrazootriazine derivative.Some chalcone analogues of 2- acetythiophene were prepared and used as MICHAEL ACCPTORS WITH A VARIETY OF DONORS UNDER DIFFERENT REACTION CONDITIONS.In addition , epoxdation of the chalcone analogues affored the corresponding oxiranes which were further reavted with certion nucleophies.Some of the new comounds were subjected to preliminary antimicrobial screening and the results attained are summarized
