Abstract:
the present work, three benzothiadiazine diuretics, namely hydroflumethiazide, bendrofluazide and cyclopenthia—zide were solubilized in the commercial non-ionic surfactants; Polysrobates, Myrjs, Brijs and Eumulgins. Saturatedsolubility measurements were made to investigate the effectofsurfactant molecular structure and concentration on:ation. The solubilities of these compounds in thet solutions were also determined under differenttions of temperature, pH and in the presence of organicganic additives. The influence of minor changes inilizate molecular structure on solubilization wasestigated.the free hydroflumethiazide concentration in under— ed solubilized systems was determined using thepressure osmometry technique . The results wereed with those obtained from the solubility measurements. The stability of hydroflumethiazide in these non—ionictant solutions was studied. The effect of surfactant1ar structure and its hyDROPhilic—lipophilic characterdegradation rates of the medicament was investigated.tes were also determined at different temperatures andesence of glycerol.
