Formulation and evaulation of certain Pharmaceutical dosage forms containing aceclofenae

the work in this thesis has .been classified into four parts:Part I Formulation and Evaluation of Aceclofenac Tablets and Capsules The work in this part was divided into two chapters. Chapter 1 Investigation of The Interaction of Aceclofenac With Certain Tablet Excipients Using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSCand Infrared (IR).Chapter2Preparation and Evaluation of Aceclofenac Tablets and CapsulesIn this chapter,1-The physical properties e.g sieve analysis, angle of repose, flow rate, bulk density, hausner factor and percent compressibilty of aceclofenac powder and the directly compressible vehicles alone and in a physical mixture with the drug (1:1 w/w) were studied.2-The physical properties of the prepared granules were also studied.3-The physical .properties’ of the prepared aceclofenac tablets and capsules were studied . These physical properties include uniformity of weight , actual drug content , disintegration time ,thickness, diameter, hardness, friability and hardness/ friability ratioThe experiments revealed the following results:a- Aceclofenac powder has very poor flowability and compressibility.b-Granulation of aceclofenac with different tablet excipients improved the flowability as indicated by decreasing the angle of repose.c- Mixing of aceclofenac with direct compression excipients improvedflowability as indicated by decreasing the angle of repose.
